Description
Hucklesbrook Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse that was altered in the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick with an old plain tile roof. The main block is two storeys and four bays, with a lower two-storey, two-bay wing added to one end. The front garden elevation retains a four-panel door in the original right-hand side of the centre bay, now within a 19th-century gabled trellised porch. Early 19th-century 16-pane sashes are set under rendered arches in each side of the centre bay; the left-hand bay retains a two-light casement under a segmental arch with blue headers. Remains of a moulded brick string are visible on either side of the porch, cut through by the 19th-century sashes. On the first floor, the left-hand bay has a 12-pane sash, while the other bays have 16-pane sashes, all set within rendered arches. A large ridge stack, rebuilt in the 19th century with corner pilasters, sits above the door. The added wing to the right has a three-light casement on both floors, with the ground floor window set under a segmental arch. The roof of the wing is half-hipped. A projection extends to the rear of the building.
