Description
Ivy Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage, extended in the 20th century. It is constructed of rendered cob with a thatched roof, except for a rendered and concrete-tiled addition at one end. The cottage is one-and-a-half stories and originally had a road front that was blank, but now features a 20th-century window. There are 20th-century gabled central porches on either side. The original windows are two-light casements, and there is a matching two-light casement in an eyebrow dormer. The roof is hipped at the left-hand end, and a brick stack is situated at the right-hand end. A low link connects the cottage to the 20th-century addition. The building possesses group value from its contribution to the character of the area.
