Description
Linbrook Almshouses are mid-19th century almshouses constructed from brick with blue decorations and stone dressings. They feature tile-hung gables and a plain tile roof. The building is 1½ storeys high and consists of three bays with a verandah along the front. The verandah has walls at either end, positioned at the corners of the building. The front is supported by four slender posts that connect to curly braces at the wallplate, with similar braces on the inside of the wall. On the left-hand side and between the right-hand bays, there is a plank door set beneath a shouldered stone arch. The front also includes three stone three-light casements. The roof is adorned with three large decorated gabled dormers, each featuring paired pointed casements, and it has a half-hipped design with ridge stacks located between the dormers.
