Description
Beckside Cottages is a house located in Claife Colthouse, dating from the 17th or 18th century. It is constructed of roughcast stone with a slate roof and has two storeys with three bays. There is a slate dripcourse along the building. The windows in the third bay of the ground floor and the first and third bays of the first floor feature small-paned fixed glazing with opening lights, while the other windows are small-paned casements. The entrance includes a half-glazed door. The right side of the house shows exposed stones at the base and gable, along with two dripcourses. There is a window with small-paned fixed glazing and a stone bulge in the wall, which may indicate the presence of a bread oven. The house has a gable-end stack, and the rear features casement windows.
