Description

The Old Forge is a house dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a Collyweston stone slate roof, a coped gable, and stone ridge and end stacks. The building has two storeys and a three-window front, with a door located between the central and left-hand bays. On the ground floor, a central canted bay window with five lights is divided by stone ovolo-moulded mullions. Flanking this are 20th-century mullioned windows. The first floor contains 2- and 3-light casement windows. A 20th-century one-storey glazed extension to the south-east is not of special architectural interest.
