Description

Melbourn House is an early 19th-century house constructed of squared rubble with a Collyweston stone slate roof and stone end stacks, which have been heightened with brick. It has an L-shaped plan and a double-fronted facade with a three-window range. The windows are sash windows. A single-storey rubble extension to the west, roofed with asbestos pantiles, which was formerly a butcher's shop, features a door and a three-light casement window. The house occupies a prominent site at the north end of the village street.
