Description
The Green Dragon Public House is a public house dating from the 17th century, with a cellar that dates back to the 13th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a Collyweston stone slate roof with stone end stacks that have been heightened in brick. The building has a quadripartite vaulted cellar in a wing at the rear, which consists of two bays.
The street-facing side includes the main block and a taller cross-wing, both of which are 1½ storeys high. The main block has two sash windows with glazing bars and a door located to the left. Above, there are two gabled casement dormers with two lights each. The gable end of the cross-wing features casement windows with glazing bars set beneath timber lintels, with a three-light window on the ground floor and a two-light window above. The rear wing runs parallel to the main block, and there is an outbuilding at the back that has a blocked stone arch on the north side.
