Description
This milestone, located approximately 100 meters to the west of Longlands Farm, dates from the 18th century and is made of stone. It has a triangular shape with one angle removed. The left side features a panel that reads "TO/HAWKSHEAD/13 MILES," with the "S" in Hawkshead reversed. The right side has a panel that reads "TO/KENDAL/15 MILES."
