Description

Harrisons Farmhouse and attached barn is a late 17th or 18th century farmhouse with a barn, located on Green Bank. The farmhouse is constructed of roughcast stone with a slate roof. It is two storeys high and has three bays, with the third bay built into the sloping ground. Most windows are 3-light casements with horizontal glazing bars. The third bay contains a window with small-paned fixed glazing. The entrance, positioned between the second and third bays, features a half-glazed door and a gabled porch with slate-slab sides. A French window on the first floor of the third bay has a gabled head and a platform supported by brick piers. The farmhouse has a gable-end stack and a rounded cross-axial stack. The barn has an entrance with a pentice and a cow-house door. The right return side, facing the road, includes a sash window in what was formerly an entrance. The rear elevation has a catslide outshut with a tall lateral stack. A small lean-to outhouse is attached to the barn.
