Description

The Punch Bowl Hotel Public House is a public house dating from the 18th century or early 19th century, with later additions at the rear. It is constructed of roughcast stone and features slate roofs. The building has two storeys and five bays, with the first two bays being taller than the others. The windows are sash style with glazing bars; the window in the fourth bay has a paired sash, and the glass includes inscriptions from the 19th and 20th centuries, along with a small light to the right. The first two bays on the first floor have sashed windows with vertical glazing bars only. The first bay includes a garage-style entrance, while the third bay features a gabled porch with an arched opening and a six-panel door, along with two flush doors. There is an entrance located between the fourth and fifth bays. The building has a gable-end stack and a later brick stack in the second bay, as well as a cross-axial stack and another gable-end stack. A gabled projection is present on the right return. Inside, the property has chamfered beams.
