Description
Rowe Farmhouse and farm buildings date from the early to mid-19th century and feature a front that may incorporate earlier structures. The exterior is finished with colourwashed render over rubble, and the roofs are covered with double Roman tiles, complemented by gables and brick and stone chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and an irregular L-shaped layout.
The north-east front facing the farmyard is divided into three sections. The right side has a single six-light window with leaded glazing. The central section contains two windows on the first floor, one with two lights and the other with three lights, along with a three-light window below that features a gabled porch. The left side includes a modern two-light dormer window and a similar window on the ground floor. All windows are metal casements set in wood frames with leaded lights.
Attached to the left end of the farmhouse are stables made of colourwashed stone rubble, topped with an old tile roof. These stables have two full-height openings with plain boarded stable doors. Opposite the house, a range of single-storey outbuildings forms part of the group, featuring a double Roman tile roof and walls made of rubble and cob, with brick dressings around the openings.
