Description

The Butter Cross is a late 14th or early 15th century stone wayside cross located on St George's Street in Dunster. It features a stump with a polygonal shaft set in a square socket, which is positioned on a base of two octagonal steps. The site is also recognized as a Scheduled Ancient Monument, designated as Somerset County No 190.
