Description
The stone wall running south from No 18 St Georges Street around into Priory Green is probably from the early 19th century. It is made of red sandstone rubble and stands approximately 10 feet high, rising to about 13 feet at the corner of St Georges Street and Priory Green. There is a segmental archway to the left on Priory Green, featuring dressed sandstone voussoirs and rounded reveals with a rebate for a gate. Additionally, there is a segmental arched opening to No 12 Priory Green. This wall is included for its group value.
