Description

The Dovecote in Dunster is a notable example of a circular dovecote, likely dating from the late 16th century. It is constructed of rubble and features a conical old slate roof topped with a wooden exit turret. The entrance has a small wood-framed door with a pointed arch. Inside, there is a potence, which is a revolving wooden ladder. This structure is also designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument (Somerset County No 33).
