Description

The Tithe Barn, located on Dunster Priory Green, dates back to the 16th century, although it has undergone significant alterations and retains limited original features. It is constructed of rubble and has a high-pitched slate roof with a porch on each long elevation. The barn follows a cruciform plan. The east front features a central double door set within a heavy, chamfered oak frame, flanked by later single wooden casement windows. Three buttresses are visible on the west side, and slit windows are present in the gable ends. The roof is an open timber structure which has been renewed. A later, single-storey range of outbuildings attached to the south-east corner is not part of the listed building.
