Description
The Ellyates monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard of the Church of St Paul, approximately 3 metres east of the porch. It commemorates --------- Ellyates, the wife of William E-------, who died in 1618. The tomb is made of limestone and features a simple incised inscription in capitals on the north side, although a small section of the inscription at the west end is missing. The south side of the tomb has partially collapsed and has been repaired with a headstone that is not of special interest. The tomb is topped with thick capping that has a moulded margin.
