Description
The Manor House is a detached house built in the mid to late 19th century, with a later extension to the rear. It features a red brick exterior with incised render on the facade and a slate roof with brick stacks. The building has a rectangular plan and is two storeys high. The symmetrical facade, which faces away from the road, has three windows with 12-pane sash windows that include multiple keystones on both the ground and first floors. The central entrance consists of a 6-panel door with four glazed panels and a hall light featuring geometric glazing bars, all set within a flat-roofed wrought iron porch. The lean-to extension at the rear has three segmental-headed 2-light casements with horizontal glazing bars on the ground floor, along with a 20th-century three-light wooden casement and a 2-light casement with early leaded panes on the first floor. The main body of the house has a hipped roof and gable-end stacks. Inside, the original staircase with turned balusters is still intact.
