Description

Linden Cottage is a detached house dating from the early to mid-19th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone and brick, with incised render on the front facade, and has a slate roof. The house has a rectangular plan, with a flat-roofed garage to the left gable end that is not of special architectural interest. The two-storey, three-windowed facade features two 16-pane sashes on the ground floor, and three 12-pane sashes on the first floor. The centrally positioned entrance door has flush panels, two of which are glazed, and is sheltered by a curving hipped tin canopy. Gable-end stacks are present. The interior has not been inspected. The building demonstrates group value.
