Description
Woodbine Cottage is a house dating from the 17th to early 18th century. It features square-panelled timber framing with painted brick infill and painted limestone rubble gable ends, topped with a thatched roof that has decorative ridge thatching. The building has a rectangular plan with its gable end facing the road.
The entrance front includes double modern glass doors with leaded panes, flanked by two single-light casements on the far left, and a part-glazed door with decorative frosted glass to the right. A 20th-century porch, which imitates timber framing and is not of special interest, conceals an early plank door. The cottage has four eyebrow dormers with two lights each, featuring modern casements with leaded panes, and there are no windows on the gable end facing the road. At the rear, there are three two-light eaves dormers on the first floor. The building has gable-end stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
