Description

This ice house, located approximately 10 metres south of Upper Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century to the mid-19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone and features a vaulted brick roof. The building has a rectangular plan with a doorway at the west end, flanked by single-light windows. Access to the doorway is via six stone steps. There is also a partially obscured single-light window at the east end. This structure is associated with the Witcombe Estate.
