Farmhouse. C16. Square-panelled timber-framing on a high dressed limestone plinth, partly repaired in painted brick; extensions painted brick; ashlar and brick stacks. Rectangular baffle-entry plan with single-storey extension to the north gable end, further extensions rear right. Main body: 1½ storeys. Extension: 2 storeys. Entrance front of early range with exposed timber-framing towards the left lit by a 3-light wooden casement with horizontal glazing bars; two 2-light segmental-headed casements with glazing bars to the painted brick part. Early plank door with a single glazed pane at the junction of the timber- framed and the rebuilt part, raking tiled canopy supported on raking struts. Part of exposed cruck roof truss visible at the north gable end. Segmental-headed 2-light casement to the extension. Three hipped 2-light eaves dormers with horizontal glazing bars. Segmental-headed casement to the extension at rear. Half-hipped roof with two axial stacks. Interior not accessible (Witcombe Estate).
