Description
Brizen Farmhouse is a 16th-century farmhouse featuring square-panelled timber framing with rendered and painted brick infill, along with some roughly squared coursed and dressed limestone. The building has a thatched roof adorned with decorative ridge thatching and brick stacks. It has a rectangular main body with a later extension at the rear left, creating an overall 'L'-shaped plan. The farmhouse is two storeys high with an attic and has irregular fenestration on the entrance front, primarily consisting of small 20th-century single-light and two-light steel casements with diamond-leaded panes. There is also a small two-light eyebrow dormer. An early studded plank door is located within a thatched open-sided porch. The farmhouse features axial stacks with half-hipped gable ends. The interior has not been inspected.
