Description

The ice house located on Harbour Road in Brora dates back to the early 19th century and features a large vaulted single chamber. It is built into the side of a slope using coursed rubble with tooled ashlar dressings. The structure faces north and has a wide curved and coped frontage that extends to projecting sloping wing walls. There is a paired centre door and a window, although the window is currently blocked.

Inside, there is a small ante-chamber and a double checked entrance to the ice house, which has doors that open both internally and externally.
