Description
This is a barn located approximately 30 meters south-west of Puckrup Farmhouse, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a red tile roof. The barn has a rectangular main body with a projecting porch on the east side. There are open-fronted lean-to stores on either side of the porch. The porch includes double plank doors set within a segmental-headed surround, topped with a gable.
On either side of the porch, there are two-bay open-fronted lean-tos with hipped roofs. The gable ends of these lean-tos have pitching windows with shutters and diamond-shaped ventilation panels. At the center of the rear wall, there are low double sheet metal doors, with weatherboarding above them, all within a high segmental-headed surround similar to that of the porch. Blind round-headed arches are located on either side of the doorway, along with ventilation holes. Additionally, there are owl/ventilation holes with rubbed brick surrounds above the double doorways and at the gable ends. The interior is not accessible. This barn is an important feature within the farmyard group.
