Description
The Rookery is a detached house dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, constructed of brick with a red tile roof and brick stacks. The main body has a rectangular plan with later extensions at the rear left, creating a mostly L-shaped layout. It stands two storeys tall with a symmetrical facade featuring three windows. The ground floor has twin 2-pane sash windows, while the upper floor has twin 8-pane sash windows. A central fielded 6-panel door with a fanlight is topped by an open triangular pediment supported on brackets, and there is a twelve-pane sash window above. All windows are adorned with gauged brick heads and fluted keystones. The parapet has been rebuilt. The late 18th to early 19th-century extension at the rear left features brick dentils at the eaves, and there are projecting stacks at the gable ends of the main body. Additionally, there is a brick wall and iron railing from the 19th century, possibly dating back to the 18th century. The wall, approximately 1 meter in height, runs for about 30 meters across the front of the house and is complemented by spear-headed railings and square gate piers at the center. The interior has not been inspected.
