Description
Orchard Cottage is a house that dates from the 17th century and 19th century, constructed from coursed rubble with some box timber framing on the first floor of the east front, and features a stone slate roof. The building has a simple rectangular shape with gable stacks, one of which is made of cut stone on the road-facing gable. It stands two storeys high with an attic and has a two-windowed front, featuring 19th-century two-light casements and a small gabled dormer. The west front has a centrally located 20th-century glazed door and a gabled porch with stone slates. The timber framing on the east front is flanked by large squared yellow limestone blocks, and there is also a small 19th-century two-light casement with a central mullion on this side. The interior has not been seen.
