Description
This barn/stable, located approximately 5 meters southeast of Yewtree Farmhouse, dates back to the 17th century. It features square-panelled timber framing combined with coursed rubble and has a slate roof. The main structure has a rectangular plan, while there is a stone-built extension at the southwest gable end. A single-storey extension at the northeast gable end is not considered of special interest. The north-facing elevation includes a double plank door and a high stable door to the left, along with a pitching window and stable door on the stone-built section. Inside, the barn has four bays with original roof timbers supported by queen struts, and the former gable end wall of the timber-framed section is preserved where the stone extension was added.
