Description

Rose Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of roughly dressed limestone rubble with decorative ridge thatching to the roof, and limestone and brick stacks. The cottage is rectangular with a 20th-century extension to the rear, which is not of special interest. It has one-and-a-half storeys. The ground floor features two 3-light stone-mullioned casement windows with stopped hoods, and a 20th-century part-glazed door with a concrete lintel; above are two 2-light eyebrow dormers. The building is included on the list principally for its group value.
