Description
The Pigeon House is a mid-17th century house located on Stockwell Lane in Woodmancote. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with dressed stone quoins and features an artificial stone slate roof. The building has a rectangular plan and is two storeys high with an attic.
The west-facing elevation has two windows, including two double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements with hollow-chamfered mullions and stopped hoods on the ground floor, and two 20th-century two-light casements on the first floor. There is a central 20th-century lean-to porch with a plank door on the right-hand side. A single 20th-century hipped roof dormer is located on the upper left.
On the right gable end, there are two 20th-century two-light casements with stopped hoods, and above them is a 17th-century double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement. The rear elevation features a 17th-century two-light stone-mullioned casement on the ground floor, along with one single-light and one two-light stone-mullioned casement on the upper floor. The interior has not been inspected. There is a flat-roofed extension at the rear, which is not of special interest.
