Description
Gable End is a semi-detached cottage that dates from the mid-17th century and is located on the north side of Stockwell Lane in Woodmancote. It is constructed from limestone rubble and features an artificial stone slate roof. The building has a rectangular plan and includes a small 20th-century extension that was formerly part of the cross range at the gable end of Home Farm.
The cottage is 1 to 1½ storeys high. The roadside front has a 20th-century three-light stone-mullioned casement window, a 20th-century three-light dormer, and a 20th-century plank door with fillets. To the right, there is a 20th-century three-light stone-mullioned casement window set back in the extension. The right gable end features a 17th-century three-light hollow-chamfered stone-mullioned casement window on the first floor. The building has an axial stack. The interior has not been inspected, but the cottage is included in the listing primarily for its group value with Home Farmhouse.
