Description

The Old Thatched Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located on Station Road in Woodmancote. It features painted brick construction on a coursed squared and dressed limestone plinth, indicating that it may have originally been timber framed. The cottage has a thatched roof with decorative ridge thatching and an early brick stack. It has a rectangular plan and includes a flat-roofed extension at the gable end and rear, which is not of special interest.

On the ground floor, there are two 2-light and two 3-light segmental-headed metal casements with leaded panes. Additionally, there are two small 2-light eyebrow dormers. The central door, dating from the 19th century, has two glazed panels at the top. The building features a gable-end and corner stack, along with a gable end that has a half hip. The interior has not been inspected.
