Description
The cottage immediately northwest of West Gables in Frampton-on-Severn is a small building likely dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century. It is attached to the rear single-storey wing of Chestnuts. The cottage features timber-framed square panels at the gable ends, some diagonal bracing, and plastered infill, along with a tall plastered plinth. It has a tile roof with a nearly central brick ridge stack. The structure is a single range, likely with a lobby entry, and consists of one storey and an attic. There are three later gabled dormers with paired casements. On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century plank door located below the stack, and to the left, a three-light casement window with a large downward brace through a horizontal rail immediately adjacent to the right.
