Description

Lodge to Whitcliff Park, built in the mid to late 19th century, is constructed of sandstone with smooth stone dressings. The lodge spans the entrance to the park and features one room on each side, along with a small addition to the rear on the left side. The central entrance has a large pointed arch, topped with a castellated "tower" that includes two glazed cross slits and a corbel table. Each side of the lodge has a castellated stepped gable with large pointed arch window openings that display the Berkeley coat of arms at the top, along with stone mullion and transom lattice windows below. Wrought iron gates connect the two wings at the front.
