Description

The barn and farm buildings at Ridge Farmhouse date from the early 19th century. They are constructed of rubble with some brickwork, featuring double Roman tiles and some stone slates on the central barn. The buildings form a good V-shaped group located to the north of the farmhouse. This group includes a central barn with a cart entrance that is centrally linked to a two-storey building on the left and a single-storey multi-bay pig unit on the right. The farmhouse and its associated buildings represent a good example of 19th-century agricultural architecture, although the outbuildings were noted to be becoming neglected and spoiled at the time of the survey.
