Description
Ridge Farmhouse and the adjoining barn are located on Ridge Lane and date from the late 18th century. The buildings are constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and feature a graduated stone slate roof. The farmhouse has a double-depth plan with two bays and two storeys, along with a lean-to on the right gable. There are 20th-century porches at the front and rear, and a barn is situated at the rear left. The farmhouse displays quoins on both the ground and first floors. The ground floor has five-light windows, while the first floor features six and five-light windows, all with a continuous head band. An additional 14-light workshop window has been added to the second floor. Gable chimney stacks are present, and there is a blocked taking-in door on the right lean-to. The rear of the farmhouse has 20th-century casement windows. The barn includes an arched cart entrance.
