Description
The former house immediately east of Ridge Farmhouse is a late 18th-century building that has been converted into an outbuilding, though it incorporates earlier work. It is constructed of hammer-dressed watershot stone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has a single-depth plan with two bays and three storeys, and it displays quoins at the ground and first floors only.
On the ground floor, there are five and four-light windows on the left, with a later door that has been inserted and is now blocked, featuring recessed flat-faced stone mullions. The right side has windows with double-chamfered stone mullions. The first floor contains a seven-light window, while the second floor has a 14-light workshop window with king mullions and four blocked lights. Gable chimney stacks are present, and there are two-light windows in the gables. Additionally, a large opening has been cut into the rear to create a garage.
