Description
Nos. 7, 8, and 18 Harrop Green are three houses built in the early and late 18th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone, with some areas featuring watershot stone, and have a graduated stone slate roof. The buildings are designed as a three-bay, three-storey structure.
The first two bays (No. 18) are split horizontally, with the upper floors accessed from the rear. The third bay (No. 8) is double-depth and incorporates earlier construction. It features a ground floor window with two and three lights, which has a double-chamfered cavetto-moulded mullion. The first two bays have a square-cut door surround, flanked by five and three-light windows. The first floor includes seven, three, and six-light windows, while the second floor has eleven and six-light windows, all with recessed flat-faced stone mullions. The houses have three ridge chimney stacks. No. 18 is accessed through a rear outshut, which includes a six-light window and a large 20th-century dormer window.
