Description
Prestbury Cottage is a house and cottage built in the late 18th century and 19th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The house is a double-depth, two-bay structure with three storeys, while the adjoining cottage to the right is two storeys and two bays.
The house has five and three-light windows on the ground floor, a seven-light window on the first floor (one of which is blocked), and a seven-light window on the second floor. All windows have recessed flat-faced stone mullions. There is a gable chimney stack, and the door, which has a square-cut surround, is located in the gable. The gable and rear of the house have one, two, and three-light windows, with the rear also featuring a first-floor taking-in door. The cottage includes a 20th-century porch and a lean-to addition on the right.
