Description
Ivy Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with a large extension added in the 20th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has three storeys, with one room on each floor and a significant extension on the right side.
On the ground floor, there is a blocked door, while the second floor includes a three-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion window. A door with a square-cut stone surround is located at first floor level on the left gable, which also has two-light windows similar to those above. The rear of the house features a four-light flat-faced stone mullion window on the ground floor, with four-light and three-light windows on the first and second floors, respectively, both having recessed flat-faced mullions. The gable chimney stack is detailed with watertabling and an oversailing course.
