Description

Waterside is a house built in the late 18th century, with alterations made in 1973. It is constructed from hammer-dressed, watershot stone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The house has a single-depth plan and includes a slightly later rear wing that has been incorporated into the main structure. The exterior is characterized by dressed quoins and three storeys, with one bay. Each floor has a 6-light recessed flat-faced stone-mullioned window. The entrance is plain and gabled, with a replacement 2-light window above. There are three additional 2-light stone-mullioned windows at the front, which are original. A modern porch has been added. The rear wing contains a garage door and a blocked doorway on the ground floor, along with a modern 4-light flat-faced mullioned window above, which appears to have been inserted into the opening of a former taking-in door. A modern ridge stack is present on the wing. The house was derelict in 1973 and underwent complete internal refurbishment at that time.
