Description
Court Cottage is a detached house located approximately 20 meters northeast of Woodchester House. It was built in the early 19th century and features coursed rubble limestone construction, a rubble chimney, and a stone slate roof, with asbestos slate on the rear. The house is two stories tall with an attic and has a front elevation that includes three 16-pane sash windows, all with timber lintels. The central entrance has a round arched doorway with a six-panel door and a fanlight that has radiating glazing bars. There is a gabled roof dormer mounted on the eaves at the center, which contains a small-paned casement window. A ridge-mounted chimney is located at the north end of the building. The rear of the cottage has a 20th-century flat-roofed addition on the left side. The cottage is built into a bank, providing access to the upper floor through a chamfered doorway with double glazed doors. A central gabled roof dormer mirrors the one on the front. The interior has not been inspected. Court Cottage is part of a group with the coach house located to the northeast.
