Description
This is a late 18th-century coach house with an attached flat, located to the north east of Court Cottage at Woodchester House. The coach house is constructed of coursed rubble limestone with limestone ashlar detailing, and has a stone slate roof. It is two storeys high. The north front features a central ashlar feature with a cornice topping a low-pitched gable. This gable contains a three-centred arched coach doorway with plank doors, and a small-paned iron casement window above, set in an oval arch. A round arched doorway to the left has plank stable doors and a fanlight; a coach doorway with a timber lintel is located to the right. Two upper floor casement windows are simple timber-lintelled. The west-facing casements also have timber lintels. The east gable end has a blocked coach doorway. The rear of the building has various altered openings with timber lintels. An upper floor two-light recessed cavetto mullioned fixed window is present, which may have been reused from elsewhere. The interior has not been inspected. The coach house forms part of a group with Court Cottage, located to the south west.
