Description
This is a wall with gates and gatepiers located to the west of Southfield House, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of ashlar limestone and features iron and timber gates. The wall is plain with a moulded coping. There are two gateways, each flanked by square piers that have banded rustication, moulded cornices, and large gadrooned flaming urns. The left gate is made of iron and aligns with a former entrance to Southfield House from around 1690, while the right features timber plank gates. The boundary continues to the south with 19th-century iron gates and a plain pier that supports a gas lamp, along with a kissing gate nearby.
