Description
The portico, piers, and walls to Hambutts House are likely from the 19th century. The structure features drystone limestone walls with segmental coping, and ashlar stone across the width of the main body of the house. The walls run continuously across the full width of the plot, constructed in coursed and squared stone, and rise to a height of approximately 5 meters. Opposite the main portico, there are a pair of square piers topped with pyramid cappings, but no gate is present. At the right return, there is a projecting ashlar pedimented free-standing portico with a slate roof, which has a moulded cornice and pediment. This portico contains a 6-panel door with raised mouldings on the panels, and the wall steps down and continues with flat coping.
