Description
Packers is a house in a row, retaining some 17th-century fabric although largely replaced in its fenestration. The front is limestone ashlar with a stone slate roof. It is two storeys high with a three-window front. At ground floor is a six-light chamfered-mullion casement window with leading, beneath a stopped hood mould. To the right of this is a 20th-century glazed door set within a plain surround. The first floor has three two-light 20th-century casement windows. A small stack is visible at the left end of the building, and the plinth rises from the pavement at the upper end. At the rear of the building is a 2½-storey cross-gabled unit dating from the 17th century, which has been mostly re-fenestrated. The interior has not been inspected.
