Description

The gate piers to the churchyard of the Church of St Mary, located opposite Hazelbury, date from the 19th century. They are made of limestone ashlar and stand approximately 2.5 meters high, positioned 2 meters apart. Each pier is octagonal at the base, features a plain shaft, and has a coved support leading to moulded caps that are finished with a flat pyramid. These piers are identical to those found on St Mary's Street. There are no gates or railings present.
