Description
Hazelbury House is a large house located at the end of a row, built in the early 18th century. It features a limestone ashlar exterior and a concrete tile roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a symmetrical frontage that includes a continuous moulded string course at the first floor and a deep coved cornice above a continuous bead mould. The house has central and gable stacks, all with moulded cappings.
A central Ionic gabled portico covers a four-panel part-glazed door, which is adorned with an early 19th-century decorative fanlight. On either side of the door, there are two blank window recesses and a triple sash window. The first floor has seven four-pane sash windows, and there are four segmental-headed two-light casement dormers in the roof. A deep wing extends back on the left side, which includes a long narrow round-headed stair window and a cross-gabled unit with moulded strings at both the ground and first floors. The interior has not been inspected.
