Description
Hazelbury Cottage is a house located at the end of a row, likely built in the 17th century but featuring 19th-century windows. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and has a stone slate roof. The building is L-shaped, with a gable end and an eaves section that is presented to the street. The front part is two storeys high and has one window on the upper floor and two wide 20-pane sash windows on the ground floor. To the right, there is a modern plank and batten door beneath a flat hood supported by brackets.
On the left side, the house has a return section that is 1½ storeys tall with two windows, including two gabled half dormers with 16-pane sashes above a single light window on the ground floor, which has a gabled porch leading to a modern door. There is a lower extension set back on the left, featuring a two-light casement window with glazing bars on each floor. A chimney stack is located at the ridge to the left of the entry on the street front, made from reconstructed stone blocks, and there is a gable stack on the left side of the return. The interior has not been inspected.
