Description
This carriage house and open shed, built in the 19th century, is located approximately 7 meters east of the stables at Painswick House. Constructed from limestone ashlar and stone slate, the building features six bays, with four open and two enclosed. It has flat elliptical arches supported by plain square piers. The left end includes a partially blocked two-light casement window, followed by a flush blocked opening with a pointed opening that features a form of fanlight. There is also a loading opening on the left return. Additionally, part of the back roof slope is covered with corrugated iron in three bays. This structure is included for its group value.
