Description
This stable, built in the 19th century, is located about 30 metres southeast of Painswick Lodge. It is constructed from cut squared limestone and features a stone slate roof with plain verges. The west front has a central gable that includes a square louvred opening, beneath which is a two-part stable door made of planks. To the left of the door, there is a two-light chamfer mullion casement window, along with a single light window under a stopped hood. To the right, there are two single light windows under a common hood. The left gable has a two-light casement window set high. At the back, there is a door in the gablet at mid-level, positioned near the north side and set at right angles to a small barn, which is parallel to the main barn, creating a cohesive group with them. The yard surrounding the stable contains later buildings that are not of special interest.
